Nepal earthquake: Surviving a deadly Everest avalanche

5 yrs in the past on 25 April, a devastating earthquake hit Nepal, which shook the whole region. Much more than 8,000 people today have been killed, and hundreds of countless numbers dropped their households.

BBC journalist Aamir Peerzada was filming a documentary movie on Khumbu glacier of Mount Everest when the earthquake struck. It induced various avalanches at Everest base camp, killing around 22 persons there and injuring dozens a lot more.

This is his tale of survival.
